The Three Thieves

Awful bed time stories for children

 The Three Thieves


       Once upon a time there lived three thieves. One day they hatched a plan to rob the rich man's house in that village,after robbing money, jewels and valuables they escaped to the nearby forest. The three thieves were very happy about their loot and decided to divide it among themselves.

   Since they came long way deep into the forest, they all felt very thirsty and hungry. So they decided to eat first before dividing the loot. One of the thieves went to the market to buy food for everyone. The thief ate his portion of food and mixed poison to the remaining food so that he can get all the robbed jewels and money. As he was returning back into the forest, the other two thieves hid behind the tree and shot him so that they both can divide the loot equally among themselves.

    The other two thieves ate the food happily without knowing that it was poisoned. Soon after eating the food both the thieves died.Thus all the three thieves got their punishment for their own bad deeds and greediness.

THE CLEVER LAMB



    Once there was a cunning fox living in a forest.One day he felt very hungry and he roamed around the forest in search of food, but he couldn't find anything to eat. At last he reached  the base of a small hill and sat there.

   Suddenly the fox saw a little lamb on top of the hill.The fox was very happy and he made a plan to eat that little lamb. The fox called the little lamb and said,"Hey dear lamb there is very little grass over there, if you come down here you can find lots and lots of grass to eat and enjoy ."

   The little lamb was very clever .It understood the wicked plan of the fox.The little lamb replied,"Hey fox I know about your cunning plan,I will not come down .I have eaten enough grass over here, thanks for your concern".Then the little lamb jumped on other side of the hill and ran away.

  The wicked fox went away with a sad face in search of food.

A Monkey And A Farmer

A MONKEY AND A FARMER




    One day a monkey was feeling very hungry.While searching for food, he reached a pumpkin field in a village. The monkey was very happy and ate one pumpkin from the field.
   Suddenly the owner of the pumpkin field entered the field and caught the monkey. The monkey said,
"Farmer, please forgive me, I was feeling very hungry and I ate one pumpkin from your field".
But the farmer did not listen to the monkey's words and in anger he lit a fire to it's tail.
   The monkey was in pain and he ran around and jumped into the wheat field,which also belonged to the same farmer. The wheat field which was ready for harvesting caught fire easily. The whole wheat field burnt down due to the fire and turned into  ashes. Meanwhile the monkey ran fast to the nearest pond and dipped its tail in the water and got relieved from the fire.
   After watching all these, the farmer realized that  because of his short temper and rudeness, he lost his precious wheat field.

THE LAME DOG

         Once there was a farmer living in a small village. He had a pet dog called Ramu. Ramu  was loyal to his master. He guarded his house and farm carefully. The farmer also loved him very much.

    One day Ramu met with an accident and he got injured in his hind leg. Ramu felt very  difficult to walk.Because of his injury Ramu was unable to guard his master's house and farm.The farmer was unhappy and he felt Ramu was of no use to him.

   One day a thief entered the farmer's house at night, all his family members were in a deep sleep. Ramu saw the thief but he was unable to catch him.So he started to bark loudly. The farmer and his family woke up due to the loud noise and caught the thief.

   The farmer realized his mistake and he loved Ramu more than ever.
