Value of time
Once upon a time in a small village there lived a man called Antony. He did not do any work and was roaming lazily. One day the King called him and asked,” why are you not doing any work and wasting your time”. Antony replied “My King I am ready to do any work but nobody is willing to give me work and telling that I am lazy and can’t do any work”.
Later the King told to him ,”Ok ,I will
give you permission, that you can go to the treasury and take valuables as much as you want till today’s sunset”.
Antony was very happy; he immediately went
back to his home and explained everything to his wife. After hearing everything
his wife gave him few sacks and asked him to leave at once. But Antony felt
very hungry and told his wife, “I am feeling very hungry so I will eat first
and then go to the treasury”. After finishing his lunch he felt sleepy and
slept for some time .Later he woke up and forgot the sacks which was given by
his wife and left the home.
After walking for a long distance he felt tired and sat under the tree and fell asleep. He woke up after sleeping for some time and stared to walk, on the way he saw a magic show and spent some time there. After that he started to walk towards the King’s treasury. When he reached the treasury it was almost sunset and the doors of the treasury were closed in front of him. He came back to his home empty handed. Antony realized the mistake for being lazy and learnt the value of time.
